Way To Go” Week is May 17-21

This annual program is encouraging the use of cheaper, healthier and more earth-friendly transportation.

All students who walk or bike to school Monday-Friday will get a hole punch on their walking cards and receive a water bottle on Friday. If you have questions see Ms. Souliere.

From Ms. Souliere:
According to recent “Brain Research,” young children need to move every 17 minutes. We know all children need healthy food, exercise, and rest to function at their best which is also true for adults. Kids especially need good food, exercise, and rest because they are growing. Vacation time is not an exception. Dr. John Ratey from Harvard Medical School Studying Young Children and Brain Function has proven that kids who exercise, eat right, and get enough rest performed better in all aspects of a daily schedule. Children were more focused, healthier, and happier.
